Notes from the 2014 London Book Fair

vPrompt exhibited at the 2014 London Book Fair and had an opportunity to meet with a number of key publishing customers as well as to get acquainted with new prospective clients. The Fair itself was well-attended, and was separated into two separate halls at the venue, Earl’s Court. Incidentally, this is the last year that the fair will be at this location as Earl’s Court is scheduled for demolition soon and the 2015 London Book Fair will be held at the Olympia London.

The two halls at this year’s event seemed to be stratified largely into legacy and new publishing models respectively, with lots of printed book products being actively sold in one and mainly digital services being discussed in the other.

There was a lot of activity of all kinds as publishers, suppliers and consumers all came together to collaborate on “what’s next” for publishing. Ameet, Ajay and I were excited to be a part of the event and felt it was a useful start to a new chapter for the company, as we aggressively launch a new sales and marketing push to drive growth in the company’s core services, so as to become a stronger supplier of eServices to existing and new customers.
